"fantastically entertaining ... some of us haven't laughed as much for a long time"
"more of moving performance than a tour"
"absolutely brilliant"

Some people call them Ghost Walks, some people call them Jack the Ripper walks. We call them Lantern Walks of Hidden Horror because your guide will have ... a lantern. Whatever the name, we'd love you to see you - please just send us an email to make an exclusive group booking or for more information.    Each tour lasts about 90 minutes and fancy dress is welcomed. If it rains, we still go.  Start time is up to you but most people go for around 7pm.

You can choose from four different routes.  We can tweak them to suit your requirements.

Jack the Ripper's Trail of Blood
London’s most notorious serial murderer
Starts from Liverpool Street station

Horrors of Theatreland
Executions, murders and curious stories of the West End
Starts from Embankment tube

Palaces of Death
Gruesome proceedings right on the Queen’s blood-soaked doorstep
Starts from Green Park tube

Evils of Fleet Street
Demon barber Sweeney Todd and other horrors of the 'Street of Shame'
Starts from Temple tube

"A very enjoyable way to spend an evening ...
Fred’s background in acting and stand-up comedy
transforms the walk into more of a moving
performance than a tour." - spoonfed

An exclusive booking - your night, your route, your guide - can be made for as little as £150.  This includes the basic Walk for up to 30 people.  However, we recommend the extra-scary version, which does cost a little more but it's worth it.  (We're happy to reveal to the group organiser how we make it extra-scary, but you have to promise not to tell.)   If you'd like us to arrange a room in a pub or a restaurant booking, we'd be happy to oblige.    Prices are very reasonable and depend on exactly what you want - we arrange the Walk to meet your requirements.

To make a booking, or to ask any questions you may have, simply send us an email.  A deposit is payable when the booking is confirmed, with the balance due on the night.  Should you have to postpone the Walk, the deposit can be rolled forward to the new date.  Prices include VAT and a VAT receipt is available on request.    We accept cash, cheque, Paypal and direct transfer.

We want you to have a fun and scary time, so if you have any questions or special requests please send us an email.   The Walks are suitable for people of all ages, just remember that they are 90 minutes of walking, standing, laughing, being scared, having fun, etc..

A message from your guide

.........Hello

You are welcome to join me on a macabre walking tour of London's historic black spots. Please note that I am an experienced guide with an extensive history of leading people up dark alleyways.

Are you aware that the capital has many hidden horrors? Murder sites, burial grounds and places of execution that have been covered up, over the years. I shall be prising up the paving slabs of time and unearthing the sinister stories of the city's dark past in a peculiar promenade.

There are different tours covering London's most gruesome areas. So come along, if you're into that sort of thing ... or are just a weirdo with some spare time.

I invite your friendship via facebook ... I get very lonely. From my large collection of images I've posted a few photos of my Hallowe'en tour. On facebook there is also a Do Me ... London group, which you are welcome to join. There you will find people ... like you.

As for meeting points, I'll be easy to find because I shall be dressed. And also clutching a hurricane lantern.

Fred Strangebone

PS - Happy Christmas

What our customers say about us

"I just wanted to say, on behalf of the TV Licensing department at the BBC, a really big thank you to you for organising the walk, and to FRED for such a fantastically entertaining walk! We all thought he was absolutely brilliant - and some of us haven't laughed as much for a long time. It was just what we all needed and provided a good break and some light relief from a particularly hard period of work. Everybody thought it was very enjoyable and entertaining and we'd have no issues with recommending him to other people.

Thanks very much again and please thank 'Fred' too.

Best wishes
Louise"
