This is a real Frequently Asked Questions, not a fake one. We aim to make our site so easy to use that you won't need to ask things. When people do ask us questions or make suggestions, we’ll improve the site. While we do, we'll park the questions here.

A) Our expert London characters
Torkwell Hastings - Fruity architecture and history boffin
Nigel Sniddling - Political analyst and general whinger
George Trellis - Decrepit crooner and sex maniac
Beatrice de Quincy - Royal expert and editor of “Oh Ya!” magazine

Q) Instead of connecting to the Do Me ... London phone site, I get a message about "GPRS". What's all this about?
A) GPRS* is a technology that allows phone handsets to cope with data (like pictures) as well as phone calls and texts. For Do Me ... London to work, you need to have GPRS enabled. Contact your operator and ask them to enable it. It's a bit like enabling international calls on your phone.

Q) I have a Blackberry, PDA or other fancy handheld, and I haven't received a reply to my text. Why not?
A) First of all, just wait a bit - if the network is slow it can take a while for
the reply to come through. Regrettably there's nothing we can do about this. Sorry.
When you are bored of waiting, have a good hunt around your phone for the reply. Technically, the reply
we send to you is not a text - it's something called a "Wap push". Clever phones handle these in different ways,
and you may have some kind of Wap push Inbox somewhere. Consult your manual or technical support guru.
If you are a guru yourself, you may find it easier to use your phone's browser to navigate to
http://domelondon.marvmob.com/
and you're in.
Q) I requested a call from Do Me ... London, and instead of ringing me it went straight to voicemail. Why?
A) This is essentially a network issue and is beyond our control. It's nothing to do with Do Me ... London per se -
it happens with ordinary calls as well. (You probably just haven't noticed it before.) It seems to happen more on certain phones,
and more when the network is busy. The Intro ("Hallo, this is Ben. Thanks for using Do Me ... London") may not have recorded because
our recording was saying that while your recording was saying "Hi, I can't take your call right now". If your greeting is very long you may
also miss Ben's first few words.
We're sorry for
any inconvenience. The good news is that you can now listen to Ben as many times as you like ... so perhaps it's not a bad thing after all.
Q) Do I have to send a text every time I want to use Do Me ... London?
A) No. You only have to send the text once.
The next time you want to use Do Me ... London you can
get to the site either by clicking again on the text you received, or by going onto your phone's internet and looking up
your Favourites or Bookmarks. Some phones record sites you have visited automatically, or you can do it manually.
* If you really care what it stands for, you can look it up on the internet.
